Description

Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with our Glasgow-based client as they continue their impressive growth journey. As part of their continued expansion, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join the team.

This is an exciting role offering real scope to contribute to business performance and work closely with senior stakeholders in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis across multiple entities. This position offers a broad range of responsibilities, with excellent exposure to strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts and half/year end accounts Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and associated analysis Production of board reporting packs, offering meaningful commentary and insights for senior leadership Conducting detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions and drive performance Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to identify efficiencies and improve profitability Supporting the annual budgeting process Completion and submission of VAT returns Assisting with internal and external audit processes Involvement in a range of ad hoc financial projects as required

The main candidate will be:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or CA) Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proven experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to support business performance Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders A proactive team player who supports a collaborative finance environment, including junior and transactional team members
