Senior Bookkeeper

Description

Our client, based in East Sussex, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join its specialist tax team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping and VAT clients, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns and CIS returns.

• Complete bookkeeping assignments for a range of businesses using cloud accounting software.

• Prepare management accounts and support financial reporting requirements.

• Assist with accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

• Monitor deadlines and manage workload effectively across multiple client assignments.

• Maintain regular communication with managers regarding assignment progress and client requirements.

Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice.

• Strong bookkeeping and VAT experience is essential.

• Accounts preparation experience would be advantageous.

• AAT qualified or studying towards AAT is desirable but not essential.

• Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office.
