Senior Accounts Assistant Location: EppingSalary: GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum Contract Type: PermanentWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Epping that is seeking a talented Senior Accounts Assistant to join its friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified professional or an experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidate who enjoys a broad accounting role and wants to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services, helping businesses maintain compliance, improve financial visibility and achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolioManaging bookkeeping duties accurately and efficientlyPreparing and submitting VAT returnsProducing monthly and quarterly management accountsSupporting clients with accounting queries and day-to-day financial mattersAssisting with financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulationsMaintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentationBuilding positive and professional relationships with clients and colleaguesSupporting continuous process improvements within the practiceSkills & Experience Required To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:Previous experience working within an accountancy practiceExperience preparing statutory accountsStrong bookkeeping and VAT knowledgeExperience producing management accountsAAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification, or substantial QBE experienceExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational and time management skillsGood communication and client relationship management abilitiesProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applicationsA proactive and collaborative approach to workWe welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience and encourage individuals who meet most of the criteria to apply.
