Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, market-leading organisation to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a team of five while taking full ownership of the end to end Accounts Payable function.

As well as overseeing the day to day operations, you will look at ways to improve processes and make things run more efficiently. This role works closely with teams across the business, so strong communication is key.

Location: Stockport + Hybrid

Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 + Benefits

Main duties:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five, setting objectives and managing workloadsOversee end-to-end processing of invoices and employee expensesEnsure compliance with company policies & VAT regulationsResolve complex invoice, payment, or supplier issuesMaintain accurate supplier records, including new vendor setupIdentify process improvements and opportunities for automation / system implimentationAct as escalation point for supplier issuesPrepare AP reports, manage month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and assist with cashflow forecasting Person specification:

Proven experience managing Accounts Payable teams in medium to large organisationsStrong knowledge of invoice processing, payment cycles, VAT rules, and financial controlsExperience with accounting/ERP systemsStrong Excel skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyExperienced in improving processes / ideally with experience supporting system implementation IND1
