Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with our client to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to join a successful and growing organisation in a varied role with exposure across financial reporting, forecasting and business performance analysis. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will provide accurate financial information and insight to support decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for management accounting, balance sheet control, budgeting and forecasting activities, while also supporting process improvements and wider finance projects. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure reporting is delivered accurately and on time.

• Produce reporting packs, KPI analysis and commentary on key variances.

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.

• Review revenue and expenditure, investigating trends and variances.

• Analyse overhead costs, payroll and headcount movements, providing meaningful insight.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities across the business.

• Develop and maintain financial models and reporting tools.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.

• Support internal and external audit requirements.

• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis and project work.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

• Part-qualified, finalist or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent).

• Previous management accounting experience, including month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proactive approach with a willingness to improve processes.

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
