Payroll Specialist

Portfolio Payroll are currently working with a large organisation in the Altrincham area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll Senior with leadership skills to join their team. They provide an excellent working environment, work from home opportunity and other great incentives!

Key Duties/Tasks:

Strong payroll knowledge and backgroundExperience of guiding, supporting, training or leading a team of any capacityBureau/umbrella payrollDriving deadlines and check payroll of the more junior team membersSupport the busy payroll department high volume starters and leaversExperience dealing with multiple payrolls of varying shift patternsMust have very strong Excel (VLookUps/Pivot Tables)High volume, fast pacedUsing Sage 50 payroll systemOpportunity to get involved with significant payroll projectsManual calculations

Desirable skills and attributes:

Previous payroll experience in a fast paced and high-volumeBureau/umbrella payroll experience preferredA keen eye for detailSupervisory experienceExcellent communicator as you will be answering queriesConfident with ExcelSage 50 payroll system experience ideallyCIPP advantageous not essential

Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am to 5.30pm with 1-hour unpaid break.
