Our client is looking for a motivated payroll admin/assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to continue developing their career within a fast-paced payroll environment.

About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual wanting to develop their career in Payroll. Key ResponsibilitiesWorking hands on processinga payroll of 8,500 employees on a monthly basisManage up to 90 payrolls each week as part of a multi-sited businessTracking, processing, and amending holiday pay, Statutory Sickness Pay and other forms of leave such as maternity/paternity pay, etcRegularly review end to end controls, routines, and duty segregationsAttending to telephone payroll queriesAssist Payroll Manager in improving policies and procedures, to improve efficiency in the day to day running of the departmentTake telephone messagesAssist the Payroll Managers with ad hoc tasks as requiredRequired experienceMinimum of 2 years proven experience within a similar role, preferably within a similar high volume payroll environment.Experience using Sage Payroll 50Previous experience with end of year updates submission via HMRC PAYE tools (desirable)Excellent Excel skillsAbout YouA natural team player with the ability to work in a team environment as well as being a self-starter with the ability to work on own initiativeAbility to cope in a fast-paced environment, manage high volume workloads and deliver work to agreed timescalesFlexible with the need to meet tight deadlinesWhy Join Us?A supportive, friendly, and experienced payroll team that values teamwork and professional growth.Opportunities for ongoing training and development.A workplace culture built on respect, flexibility, team work and career development.
