We are a well-established, family-run manufacturing business based in the heart of Wolverhampton. Following continued organic growth, we are now seeking a part-time Financial Controller to lead our accounts department and support the business in its next phase of development.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will oversee the finance function and provide critical financial insight to the Board of Directors. This is a hands-on position, combining day-to-day financial management with leadership of a small finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

* Preparing monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) with supporting analysis.

* Managing treasury, cashflow, and rolling forecasts.

* Supervising and developing the accounts team.

* Preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.

* Developing internal controls and enhancing financial reporting systems.

* Partnering with operational teams to drive performance.

* Producing and tracking financial and non-financial KPIs.

* Liaising with auditors, banks, HMRC, and advisors to ensure compliance.

* Overseeing annual stock checks and strengthening stock management practices.

* Supporting consolidation, acquisitions, and system development where appropriate.

About You

* Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) or through experience.

* Strong track record in finance or management roles.

* Experience in manufacturing or stock-intensive businesses desirable.

* Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills.

* Strong leadership and communication skills with attention to detail.

* Flexible, adaptable, and able to work to the needs of the business.

What We Offer

* Part-time role with family-friendly hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm.

* Competitive salary of £40,000 (pro rata).

* Opportunity to join a supportive, family-run business where you can make a real impact
