Junior Management Accountant

Based in Manchester

Paying up to 30k DOE

5 days on site, Monday - Friday

Working closely with the wider finance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring accurate financial information is produced on time, while also supporting the business with analysis and reporting.

The Role

You'll have a varied workload and will work across different areas of the finance function depending on business requirements and your own development. You'll be involved in the month-end process, financial reconciliations and reporting, as well as providing support with budgeting and forecasting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the preparation of monthly management accountsAssisting with budgets and forecasts alongside senior members of the finance teamCompleting monthly reconciliations, including nominal and intercompany accountsPreparing accruals, prepayments and fixed asset schedulesProcessing month-end journalsAssisting with VAT and other regulatory returnsReviewing ledger processing and helping to maintain the accuracy of financial recordsProducing cost analysis and supporting financial commentaryPreparing and maintaining rolling cash-flow forecastsWorking with large volumes of financial data and presenting findings clearlyProviding general finance support and assisting with ad-hoc projects as required

About You

You'll be someone who takes pride in producing accurate work and is comfortable working to deadlines. You'll have a good eye for detail, a practical approach to problem-solving and the confidence to take ownership of your workload.
