Location: Oxford (5 days on-site)

My client is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our finance function. This is a pivotal role for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving financial excellence and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead the finance team (1 Management Accountant and 1 Accounts Assistant)Oversee cashflow management and investment trackingPrepare and review management accounts and month-end reportingEnsure timely and accurate VAT returns, payroll processing, billing, and aged debt managementSubmit National Statistics reports and support internal audit recommendationsDrive continuous improvement in financial processes and systemsGuide, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and capability

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a similar finance leadership roleStrong understanding of management accounting, cashflow, and financial controlsExcellent attention to detail and ability to work hands-on with financial dataExperience with VAT, payroll, billing, and aged debt processesConfident communicator with a collaborative approach to team leadershipComfortable working full-time on-site in central Oxford
