HV Wireman Location: UK Wide Contract Type: Contract / Long–term assignments Project Start: 2026 Turner Lovell is recruiting experienced HV Wiremen to work on major renewable energy and substation projects across the UK in 2026. This role involves the safe installation, termination, and testing of high–voltage electrical systems across civil and M&E scopes. Key Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test HV cables, switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment.Work from electrical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.Carry out fault–finding, rectification, and support commissioning of HV systems.Collaborate with HV Fitters, civil, and M&E teams to meet project milestones.Maintain compliance with HSEQ procedures, CDM regulations, and site safety standards.Keep accurate records of work and report progress to Supervisors.Promote a safety–first culture on site.Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as an HV Wireman on substations, grid, or renewable energy projects.Relevant authorisations (e.g., National Grid, SSE, SPEN, UKPN, NPG, ENW)Strong understanding of HV cable installation, terminations, joints, and testing.Ability to work across multiple UK sites.Excellent team–working and communication skills.Qualifications:

City & Guilds in Electrical Installation / NVQ Level 3 Electrical.17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.High Voltage Authorisation or equivalent (e.g., 11kV/33kV).Valid CSCS card and site safety certifications (SMSTS, CCNSG).
