Description

Hamilton Barber Recruitment are working with a small, dynamic charity supporting survivors of modern slavery and exploitation to recruit a committed and proactive Head of Finance and Resources. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the organisation’s financial strategy, ensure sustainability, and support the delivery of vital frontline services.

The Opportunity

You will lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, reporting, payroll, and day-to-day operations, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. In addition, you will oversee the charity’s resources and assets, including facilities management, procurement, insurance, and business continuity, ensuring efficient and sustainable use of all organisational resources.

Main responsibilities:

* Leading strategic financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to the CEO and trustees

* Managing day-to-day finance operations and maintaining accurate records

* Supporting fundraising and grant reporting through financial analysis

* Overseeing resources, procurement, insurance, and facilities management

* Managing and developing direct reports, promoting continuous improvement

* Contributing to senior leadership discussions and organisational strategy

About you:

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-financial colleagues. You will be adaptable, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
