Are you a fully qualified Financial Controller looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the direction of a business?

We're recruiting for a privately owned, established business in Bilston that is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function and work closely with the senior leadership team.

This is a hands-on and commercially focused role. You'll be responsible for ensuring strong financial control and accurate reporting, while providing the insight, challenge and information needed to support business decisions.

There is also genuine scope for the successful individual to grow their responsibilities as the business develops.

What you'll be doing Leading the day-to-day finance function and managing the finance teamProducing accurate monthly management accounts and reportingManaging budgeting, forecasting and cashflowMaintaining robust financial controls and processesProviding commercial analysis and meaningful financial insightSupporting senior management with operational and strategic decision-makingIdentifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and financial performanceWorking closely with colleagues across the wider business What we're looking for You must be fully qualified ACA, ACCA or FCCA to be considered for this position.

Alongside your professional qualification, you'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or in a similarly broad senior finance roleStrong management accounting and financial control experienceExperience of budgeting, forecasting and cashflow managementA commercial mindset with the ability to look beyond the numbersPrevious experience leading or developing a finance teamThe confidence to challenge, influence and work closely with senior stakeholdersA hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in the detail when requiredExperience within an SME, owner-managed or entrepreneurial environment would be particularly useful Manufacturing, FMCG or product-based experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We're very happy to consider strong Financial Controllers from other commercial sectors who can demonstrate the breadth of experience required.

Salary: GBP60,000 GBP70,000 depending on experience
