You will be joining a well-established organisation within the Financial Services Sector, operating in a fast-paced and commercially focused environment. The business works closely with both UK and Head Office teams, providing strong exposure to a broad range of financial activities within a dynamic and evolving market.

Your New Role

As Financial Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong financial controls across the business. You will be responsible for supporting month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and working closely with stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and drive improvements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing and reviewing monthly financial statementsSupporting the month-end and year-end close processesPerforming detailed balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting statutory reporting and audit requirementsEnsuring compliance with accounting standards, including IFRSProviding analysis and commentary on financial performanceSupporting process improvements and strengthening financial controlsPartnering with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queriesWorking collaboratively with central and Head Office teams

What you'll need to succeed

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA)2-4 years' post-qualified experience (or equivalent level)Strong financial accounting and reporting experienceExperience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentResilient, proactive, and solutions-focused approachStrong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience within financial services or a similar environment is desirable.Exposure to IFRS (particularly IFRS16) would be advantageous.
