We are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing Cardiff-based business in the appointment of a Part-Time Finance Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys being hands-on with the numbers while also acting as a commercial partner to the wider business. The role will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function whilst working closely with senior stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and support around business performance and future strategy.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring the business has accurate, timely and meaningful financial information to support decision making.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely reportingPreparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentarySupporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementProviding meaningful financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholdersActing as a finance business partner to operational and commercial teamsSupporting the leadership team with strategic planning and decision makingIdentifying trends, risks and opportunities within the financial performance of the businessImproving financial processes, controls and reporting where requiredProviding greater visibility around profitability, costs and business performanceSupporting longer-term business planning and strategic projectsEnsuring the finance function continues to provide a strong platform for the business as it growsAbout You

We are looking for a qualified or highly experienced finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset.

You'll ideally have experience across:

Management accounts and month-endBudgeting and forecastingFinancial analysis and reportingFinance business partneringCash flow and working capitalSupporting senior leadership with commercial decision makingImproving processes and financial controlsWorking within an SME or growing business environmentMost importantly, you'll be someone who is comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting into the detail, but who can also step back and look at the wider commercial picture.
