Client Details

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the finance function whilst partnering closely with operational, commercial and purchasing teams across the business. This is a highly visible role offering the chance to contribute to strategic decision-making, improve processes and help drive operational efficiency across the organisation.

Description

The successful Finance Manager will enjoy a broad remit spanning financial management, commercial analysis, pricing, reporting and business improvement projects.

Ownership of cash flow management and day-to-day finance operationsProduction of monthly management accounts and financial reportingManagement of VAT returns and liaison with external accountantsSupporting month-end and year-end processesMonitoring supplier pricing and protecting product margin performanceMaintaining customer pricing structures across business systemsProducing financial and performance reports for suppliers and buying groupsPartnering with operational and purchasing teams to identify efficienciesSupporting major systems and warehouse improvement projectsDriving continuous improvement across processes, reporting and controlsAssisting leadership in making informed commercial decisions

Profile

We're keen to speak with qualified or qualified-by-experience finance professionals who enjoy operating in a hands-on environment and want to be part of a growing business.

The successful Finance Manager will have:

Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting roleStrong management accounting and reporting experienceExcellent Excel skills and confidence working with large datasetsExperience of ERP systems, ideally SAP Business OneCommercial awareness and the ability to influence decision-makingA proactive, solutions-focused approachStrong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the businessSQL experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential
