Description

NXTGEN are delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established, family-run business based south of Norwich, who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit finance team within a successful, growing business with a strong reputation for quality and service. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional products to customers across the UK and internationally, offering a welcoming working environment where attention to detail, teamwork and a hands-on approach are valued.

Working within a busy finance function, you will support the day-to-day running of the accounts department, taking responsibility for a varied range of transactional finance duties and supporting the wider team with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing both the purchase ledger and sales ledger. Processing sales invoices and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately. Completing bank and credit card reconciliations. Preparing and reconciling debtor and creditor statements. Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Processing payments in multiple currencies. Supporting month-end processes and preparing relevant financial reports. Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely manner. Providing general support to the finance team as required. About You:

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar finance or accounts administration role, with a good understanding of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes. You will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work, ensuring accuracy across all aspects of the role.

Experience using Sage Line 50 would be highly beneficial, alongside good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will also be organised, proactive and confident communicating with colleagues at all levels. The ability to use your own initiative, manage competing priorities and bring a positive, can-do attitude to a busy team will be key to your success.
