Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a role where you can make a real impact?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well established and supportive business in Malvern that is seeking a hands on Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the day-to-day management of accounts but is also looking for the chance to develop their responsibilities over time.

Initially, you'll focus on the smooth running of transactional finance activities, gaining a thorough understanding of the business and its processes. As you become established, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, with a clear pathway towards owning the bookkeeping and wider finance function.

The Role

As Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the finance function, ensuring financial processes run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger

Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.

Prepare supplier payment runs.

Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, responding to queries promptly. Credit Control

Manage customer accounts and proactively chase outstanding payments.

Monitor aged debt and maintain accurate debtor records.

Resolve customer payment queries professionally and efficiently.

Support cash collection activities and help minimise overdue balances. Cashflow & Finance Support

Assist with daily cashflow monitoring and reporting.

Support the preparation of financial information and management reports.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records. Systems & Process Improvement

Utilise Sage accounting software for daily financial processing.

Ensure transactions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

Take on additional bookkeeping and finance responsibilities as the role evolves. About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or within a similar finance position.

Enjoys being hands-on and involved in the day-to-day detail of the accounts function.

Has excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.

Can build effective relationships with both suppliers and customers.

Is confident using accounting software, ideally Sage.

Is eager to become an integral part of the business and grow into a broader finance role over time. What's On Offer?
