An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy, well-established accountancy firm in a varied and fast-paced administrative role. Working closely with senior leadership and multiple departments, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of operations while delivering a high level of support to both clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities and Duties
Carry out appeals on behalf of clients, liaising directly with both clients and HMRCManage Companies House matters including confirmation statements and statutory documentationEnsure internal tax and client management spreadsheets and portals are kept accurate and up to date, working alongside the wider administration teamLiaise with professional bodies and directors when requiredPrepare and manage Recovery Loan Scheme documentation and checklistsOversee Research & Development documentation and processesManage and oversee external mail distributionRespond to and resolve client queries in a professional and timely mannerHandle professional clearance letters for former clients, ensuring all required documentation is collated and transferred promptly to new accountantsConduct former client checks relating to letters of engagement in collaboration with senior administration staffComplete weekly new-client audits to ensure compliance and accuracySupport website updates as required alongside managementAssist with preparation of the quarterly company newsletter with relevant team membersSupport management of phone systemsPrepare and maintain organisation charts for group companiesCoordinate office equipment requirements with the Office ManagerSupport internal audits alongside managers and relevant staffCarry out quarterly internal report audits with senior administration staffManage address audits and renewalsCoordinate senior leadership diaries and appointmentsProvide ad hoc support to the business development function when requiredEnsure internal task lists are kept fully up to date and appropriately allocated across the departmentMaintain high service standards by ensuring all emails and telephone messages are responded to within 24 hoursCarry out any additional duties required to support the smooth running of the businessHere is a concise UK English version with five short bullet points:
Candidate Requirements
Strong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfident using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook)Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesProfessional, proactive and willing to learnThis is a junior-level position. Previous experience in finance is not essential; we welcome candidates with administrative experience or a degree in finance, business or a related subject. Full training will be provided.
