ABOUT THE FIRM

My client is a well–established local practice that's part of a large UK and Ireland accountancy and business advisory group. It's a friendly, close–knit office, but you've got the training, resources and specialist colleagues of a much bigger organisation behind you, which is a great setup when you're still building your skills.

THE ROLE

You'll prepare year–end accounts and tax computations for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, working closely with the seniors and managers. There's also some audit fieldwork, so you get a broader grounding than a pure accounts role. As you grow, you'll start helping the juniors too.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Preparing year–end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Preparing personal and corporation tax computations Helping with corporation tax and VAT returns Supporting audit engagements, including fieldwork Dealing directly with clients by phone and email Helping and guiding junior team members WHO THIS WILL SUIT

Part–qualified AAT, ACA or ACCA, or actively studying Previous experience in an accountancy practice Confident with Excel and Microsoft Office Organised, accurate and happy juggling deadlines Friendly and comfortable talking to clients WHAT'S ON OFFER
