A busy professional services firm is looking for a detail-focused Accountant to support their finance function. This varied role covers core accounting, occasional payroll and preparing personal tax and self-assessment returns.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce management accounts to trial balanceMonth-end processes: accruals, prepayments, reconciliationsBank & balance sheet reconciliationsSupport budgeting, forecasting & audit prepProcess payroll when requiredPrepare personal tax returns & assist with tax complianceSupport VAT returnsHandle purchase/sales ledger and expensesAssist with finance projects and process improvementsWhat You'll Bring:
AAT Level 4 (part-qualified considered) / ACCA / CIMA (or QBE)Experience in professional services or supporting a small businessStrong accounting and self-assessment tax skillsConfident with accounting/payroll software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, BrightPay)Excellent attention to detail & organisationStrong Excel skillsDesirable:
Experience managing a client portfolioKnowledge of VAT, corporation tax or CIS
