Description

A tutor / Governor to focus on the educational and emotional development of a child or children in a private household setting. Providing formal and informal education of the child. As well as tutoring in all aspects of the curriculum, I will help with the social and cultural development of the child. Encourage self-awareness and creativity and promote good manners and etiquette. I can organise outside activities such as educational outings; museums, art galleries and theatre. I can liaise with other nannies, tutors and teachers.

I am an experienced finance professional with 35 years in the corporate sector, holding a 2:1 in Pharmacology and A-levels in sciences. I have tutored children in math, sciences, and general subjects, and maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise.

I have consistently found satisfaction in educating others and facilitating their comprehension of complex concepts. Family meals often served as dynamic forums for discussions on global current events, history, and scientific advancements.

Drawing on my experience and enthusiasm, I am confident in my ability to support children of all ages as they expand their knowledge, deepen their understanding of various subjects, prepare effectively for exams, and broaden their perspectives about the world. Additionally, I can prepare nutritious meals, engage in a variety of sports activities, and play chess.

I am based in Buckinghamshire and can travel by car. Hours can be flexible and include weekends and holidays. My charges start at £40 per hour.
