--About me--
Hi there, I'm Peter, I'm currently working as an engineer in offshore wind and have first hand, tangible experience on how and when maths is used in the real world. In school, I sat the most updated Scottish curriculum, the curriculum for excellence, getting A's at nat 5, higher and adv higher. I'm approachable, easy going and I make sure the pupil reachest their highest potential.

--Experience--
I have tutored for two years now, mainly with higher maths pupils, however I do also teach nat 5 and adv higher. This experience has brought about increasingly better teaching techniques and has given me a better perspective of how pupils are dealing with maths in the current climate. I have brought pupils from failing prelims to 80% of my students recieving A's.

--Methods--
In maths, more than any other subject, it is vitally important that understanding is found in the work rather than simply remembering content. This is where pupils struggle most. It was through this teaching style that I found my strengths in academia and ultimately successes, therefore I wish to pass it on. Above all, my reassurance and encouragement will bring the pupil one of the most important academic skills, confidence.

My sessions are fully online. I use a website called drawchat, this allows us to write answers on the same online page together in real time. This makes online teaching virtually the same as ftf.

£60 ph, longer sessions charged on a pro rata basis.
