Description
MOT until Aug 2026.
Long story long….2003 Girl buys Brand New Yamaha 125, gets a fright puts it in garage. 2010 girl gets new boyfriend. 2012 He says he’s sick looking at the 125 in shed – she says I’ll start riding if you come with me. So off he pops and buys himself a Honda 125. They both go out riding twice and say b*gger this it’s not for us. So back in the shed both of them go in 2012. Now here it is after recommissioning in 2025 ready to be used again….
Whats been done? 2 x New tyres & tubes, Tank flushed, New carburetor, oil changed, new plug, new battery, and a new mot and it’s ready to go. No fancy troublesome electronics on this – just a good old carb and small cdi unit.
A very smart looking machine, basically same motor as SR125, and Excellent learner machine with a very user friendly 4 speed gearbox espcially if you struggle with 5/6 gears to begin with.
Obviously it’s got a bit of age related/storage wear – nothing of any note or concern that affects it’s mechanical/running condition. It’s even got it’s original tool kit and factory owners handbook! Niggle: Lady had a whoopsie on 1st day she got it and cracked one of the rear panels, left side – rear fender is in 3 parts anyway – looks ok and does not affect the machine in any way.
Classic Insurance – qualifies with some Insurers as it’s over 20 years old. However, most Insurers state 20+ years old to qualify for Classic Insurance.
