Description
Yamaha HX90 HS2, 2 Stroke Twin, 90cc. This is a lovely project for someone, The positive points to this very clean and unusual little bike is, it runs and all gears select, starts easy on kickstart. On the controls side of things both front and rear brakes are all good, although the throttle may need a new cable at some point but it works ok. Indicators, horn, headlight and rear brake light all work. The 18inch front and rear tyres are ok, spokes and rims are good. Forks are working fine but will need new gaitors. Mudguards and side panels are in very good condition. . The downside of things that need looking at..... The key has snapped in barrel, the petrol tank needs removing and cleaning/flushing and the engine does run very sweet, but only on choke, and lastly it does need a new battery. All in all a really clean and tidy bike, even under the mudguards are super clean, in my opinion never seen bad weather. The HX90 mounted the final iteration of the AT90s power unit, which was marketed as the worlds first 2-stroke 90cc parallel twin when it was first released in 1965. Its high-pitched exhaust note under acceleration made it popularly known as the Jet Twin and the bikes styling was modern as well, taking after the 2-stroke RX350 of the time. The HX90 was produced until 1974 when the single-cylinder RD90 was released and its pleated seat and semi-upright handlebars provided a comfortable riding position, while it came with a bigger taillight, side reflectors, and more.We can arrange doorstep delivery should you request it, we just need your postcode to quote you.Any Questions call Matt on [Phone number removed] or Henry [Phone number removed] at a reasonable time.
