Crescent Motorcycles proudly offering this stunning Yamaha 1983 RD350. This bike is a rare find and an exceptional example of a meticulous restoration. While some may hesitate at overseas bikes, it' important to note that this one comes from Switzerland, where the biking weather is either perfect or simply too harsh to ride. Unlike the UK, where bikes face salt and grime, this one has been spared that fate.
Although we don't have formal documentation to validate every part, the extensive list of components included speaks for itself.The bike was originally re-constructed by a local RD expert who was a close friend to the previous owner. He is renowned in the RD world and is even regarded as an authority on the subject by our local Yamaha dealership. His business focuses on parts and services, with a network of contacts spanning the globe. Over the course of a decade, he meticulously crafted this bike, continuously improving it one part at a time.The previous owner purchased the bike in mid-October 2022, since then, it has sat more as an art piece than a bike that was actively ridden.
With all parts being new and incredibly rare many of these components are unobtainable now. This is a one-time opportunity to own a fully restored RD350 in this condition.Here' a selection of the premium parts fitted to the bike, many of which are nearly impossible to find: Yamaha NOS Parts sourced from Mitsui Machinery Sales (Chessington, Surrey) and suppliers across Europe. Fuel Tank - Never had fuel in it. Side Panels, Tail Piece, Nose Cone, Screen, Graphics, and Belly Pan - All new and authentic. Crank - Approximately £800, as we are informed. Engine Internals - Complete overhaul, including clutch, bearings, seals, and more. Speedometer - UK model, set to equivalent KM mileage. Bars, Switch Gear, Hoses, Callipers, and Master Cylinders - Including the rare front master cylinder with raised lettering and silver Yamaha logo. New Yamaha Forks. Engine Cases - Original 31k glossy clutch cover, not the newer matte versions. Rare 350 Rear Shock and Linkage - Includes shock adjuster assembly with belt. Seat, Taillight, Headlight (with rim and bracket) - All in pristine condition. Power Valves, Pistons, Rings, Pins, Clips - All genuine and bored to 0.25. Wiring Loom, CDI, Grips, Pegs, Hangers - Full set of new components. Exhausts, Wheels - Near-perfect, factory finish. Additional parts include: Reservoirs (oil and water), Indicators, Tool Kit, and more. All correct, original Yamaha screws, nuts, bolts, washers, spring washers, and all hardware necessary for assembly. Lockset, Levers, Lever Perch, Cables, Side Stand, Main Stand - All fully restored.
The bike carries a vintage Earnshaw' of Huddersfield number plate, a dealership that' been in operation since the early 1900s, adding further authenticity to this remarkable machine. Warranty:
All of our second hand bikes are serviced, M.O.T'd and HPI clear, plus we warranty all bikes for three months parts and labour.
Off road machines come with a 6 months parts warranty only
