Reclaimed Pitch Pine Boards.
Collection only Ipswich Suffolk UK.
These boards were salvaged from a barge intending to make industrial table tops with them
I have the details of the barge which would add to the appeal. There are scarf joints on board ends and trunnel holes at intervals
These boards are 70mm thick. The boards are 7meters long and in two widths 24cm and 34cm. They can be cut shorter for transportation.
Pitch Pine is a variety of Pine with a close grain, high resin content giving it very good water and insect resistant properties. Extensively used in the past for boatbuilding, waterside and commercial building construction.
