1940's ORIGINAL VINTAGE PEPLUM JACKET in a BEAUTIFUL bright RED and a super example of the era and a RARE FIND in this colour!

BRAND LABEL: 'FINES' FLAGSTAFF ARIZ (imported from A 1940's clothing estate sale in Boston, USA)

EXQUISITE tailoring with some lovely 'extra' detail - such as the shaped revere collar, covered buttons and GORGEOUS panelled peplum with button detailing to the back.

PERFECT for 1940's re-enactment or vintage events and has been a favourite piece in my vintage collection for some years. This is a reluctant sale, but sadly it no longer fits and is wasted hung up in a wardrobe!

HAS NO SIZE LABEL - SEE MEASUREMENTS:

BUST: Approx: 16 INCHES - laid flat with jacket done up - across front.

WAIST: Approx: 13.5 INCHES - laid flat with jacket done up - across front.

LENGTH: Approx: 25 INCHES - middle shoulder seam to hemline.

SLEEVE LENGTH: Approx: 24 INCHES

FULLY LINED - LINING IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!

5 OPENING COVERED BUTTONS TO FRONT - ALL INTACT WITH NO DAMAGE!

FABRIC: UNKNOWN - WOULD ADVISE DRY CLEANING ONLY

ISSUES/DEFECTS/DAMAGE: MUST READ BEFORE PURCHASE!
1. This garment is now approaching 80 years old and HAS BEEN WORN!

2. It is NOT PERFECT and shows some signs of general wear! It would benefit from a dry clean. Overall it was a tad dusty from being kept in storage for some time and the cuffs are slightly grubby - mostly to the edges - this does not really show when the jacket is being worn and dry cleaning might remove - SHOWN IN PICTURES!

3. NO MOTH DAMAGE but has a few small marks here and there - some of which may be due to being kept in storage. Again - marks might remove with dry cleaning - SHOWN IN PICTURES!

I have shown images of what I consider to be the worst examples in the last two pictures - which have been lightened to make it show up clearly!

3. I purchased this jacket with the marks already on it and wore it as is (and I am VERY fussy!) so the marks are nothing major in my opinion and what you might expect on a vintage garment of this age.
