Selling my much-loved Golf due to an electrical issue that I just don’t have the time or energy to deal with. It’s been a fantastic car — solid, economical, and reliable until this recent fault.

The issue:
There’s an electrical fault that appears to be linked to the ABS system. Because the Golf runs on one main computer, several warning lights are showing on the dashboard, and the steering feels heavy — suggesting the fault is within the ABS unit. A diagnostic has already been done, but nothing conclusive was found.

It could be as simple as needing to be hooked up to the main dealer’s software for an update, which might solve the issue. Who knows — but with a small child, I simply can’t invest the time or energy into this project.

The car still starts, runs, and drives, so it’s ideal for someone mechanically minded or willing to investigate further. Once fixed, it’ll be a fantastic car again.
