Firstly, this is a low key band of mature non professional improver musicians. There is no money in this gig and you will need your own transport and have to have experience. We are looking to have people down to try out in late January. Still here? Read On..........

We are a 3 piece psychedelic / classic rock band based in north London that have been together for 3 years putting together a set of interesting songs with a few standards thrown in for good measure. Were a bit raggedy and noisy, think Hendrix, and we like to go off and ad lib jams in the songs. We learn and perform music for fun and there is next to zero money in it. We have been building our repertoire and performing the songs monthly at a little pub in Brentford north west London for the past year in order to work out our stage sound and to practice engaging with an audience. Our audiences have been small but the feedback we’ve had from them has been positive and they tell us we need to get out into bigger pubs with more punters. We would like to do this and to polish our set to get even tighter but think that in order to come across the best we can and to have more flexibility on the music side of things we need a dedicated lead singer to improve and enhance our sound. Said singer would need to have an appreciation of the music of the 60’s and 70’s and be familiar with the songs in the set.

Frank Zappa - The Slime, More trouble every day, If only she woulda, Road Ladies, Wonderful Wino, Willie the Pimp, Cosmik Debris. Beatles – Tomorrow never knows, Come together. Bad Company - Can’t get enough of your love. Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Wake up n make love with me. Little Feat - Spanish Moon. Black Sabbath - The Warning. Rolling Stones - Dead Flowers. Joe Walsh - Funk 49. Doors - LA Woman. Freddie King - Going Down. Beck Bogert, Appice et al – Superstition segued into whole lotta love. Robin trower – Bridge of sighs. Pink Floyd – Fearless, Comfortably Numb. Hawkwind – Spirit of the age. Neil Young – Hurricane , Mellow my mind. We will entertain suggestions for new songs in due time.

We have some instrumental tracks as well, usually employed as openers or mid gig breaks and they are Frank Zappa - Chungas Revenge, Black Napkins, sh*tW. Mahavishny Orchestra – You know you know. Billy Cobham (Jeff Beck) – Stratus. Alphonse Mouzon – Golden Rainbows.

More about us. We are in our 60’s and settled in our lives and are easy going but take this seriously and practice independently at home during the week. We’ve all played instruments for over 30 years and have a a fair of experience of playing live albeit on small stages etc. As music lovers, we’ve seen many of the bands we cover and still enjoy going to concerts. We want to keep reminding people of these great artists and share our love of the music with them. We’ve got a small PA and our own transport. We meet every Sunday afternoon to work on new material and rehearse in Holloway Rd. Check out the You Tube link on here to see and hear where we are at.

About our current gigs. The pub in Brentford is small and you will need a car to get there. They give us a few drinks for performing and Sometimes there is 1 man and his dog and others a few people. We will be looking for more venues next year.

About you. Man, or woman, you’d Ideally be between 40 and 60, have the rock look, confidence, charisma and good experience of performing live with some links to your work on YouTube or similar platform so we can see what you do.
You’d need to know and like the songs and be willing to work on them at home as well as in rehearsal and you’d need to be doing it for fun and the joy of performance. You’d need to have your own gear and transport and be ready to be out late.
