Hi - I’m Jim, a bedroom producer in Camberwell looking for a regular collaborator.
I’m into groove-led music with proper songs - Talking Heads, Let’s Dance-era Bowie, Tame Impala, Todd Terje, Change, Kano (the Italo disco act). What I’ve made so far has mostly been electronic: synth pop, disco, house, funk and synth-pop. But I’m not precious about genre. If a song’s good, I’m interested, and I’d be happy to go wherever we end up.
What I’m missing is someone on lyrics and vocals, though I’m open to other skills if you’re great at them.
I'm after a steady working partnership. I work best with a regular rhythm and a few deadlines, so ideally a weekly session (in person or online) and a goal of finishing a song a month rather than collecting half-ideas.
To be upfront: I’m 49, with a day job and a family, so this is a serious hobby rather than a full-time thing. A few hours a week, every week. Age and experience don’t matter. Being reliable and enjoying the process does.
