Description

For sale is my 2007 Vauhall Astra H VXR. The car is currently on 135387 miles, this will increase slightly as I use the car on a daily basis.

I have owned the car for 9 years and it has never let me down. It starts and drives as it should with no smoke or strange noises. Most maintenance on the car has been carried out by a close friend (mechanic) and done as homers so the car only has part service history.

In 2021 the car underwent a full body respray costing £4195 which also included both front wings being replaced and painted. Around the same time i purchased a brand new set of AVA Fresno Hyper Silver 19 Inch alloy wheels x 5 costing £1300.

The car is MOT’d till December 2025. The previous mot required a new handbrake cable and 1 calliper slider pins to be cleaned and lubricated. The mot also mentioned that the car had a front lower oil leak which turned out to be the oil drain plug seal which was replaced.

I’ve just fitted Brand new rear discs/pads and a near side rear calliper.

Last year the car had just over £2000 spent on it and the following parts listed below were changed:

Front discs and pads

left suspension arm

right suspension arm

left track rod end

inner drive shaft boots

gearbox oil

oil filter

engine oil

front wheel bearings

brake fluid

front and rear brake hoses

Spark plugs

In 2023 the following items were changed:

Ignition coil pack

O2 sensors

Timing belt & water pump

Front and back suspension replaced with JOM Blueline coilovers

3 new brake callipers ( the 4th one was replaced last week )

The car is 18 years old so of course it will have some negative points which I’ve listed: Rear arches, and lower both doors are starting to bubble and would benefit with treatment

Offside side skirt - paint only is cracked and could do with a respray

Nearside side skirt - paint is beginning to peal at the front end

Front bumper had a minor crack and this was repaired by myself ( looks okay )

As previously mentioned I’ve owned the car for 9 years and I’ve spent a huge amount of money on the car to maintain it and make her look nice.

I’m reluctant about selling the car therefore I’m in no rush to sell so please no time wasters.
