Description

For sale VW Caddy 1.6 TDI converted to a camper.

The van has been well maintained. Purchased in July 2022 and self-converted to a camper for travelling around Scotland and it has been great fun in the past few years, saving me about £4k in hotel or Airbnb costs! Previously, the van spent the majority of its life in the south of England and, as a result, has very minimal rust compared to other examples of its age around Aberdeen.

Modifications:
- Front lowering springs. Shocks and drop links replaced when I bought the van
- Rear axle flip kit with shackle support blocks
- Colour matched bumpers front and back with a front bumper lip kit
- Tinted windows to the rear for privacy when camping
- Blacked out cab area
- Wind deflectors
- Roof bars and roof box included
- Van currently sits on a set of steel wheels with winter tires
- Bonnet Bra will be included
- 2 injectors replaced in the last 3 years
- Alpine speakers and amplifier
- Dash cam and reverse camera
- No costs spared in my ownership on any maintenance and repairs.

Camper conversion:
- Fully insulated
- Ply lined
- Floor, walls and ceiling covered with lino for easy cleaning and carpet lined in remaining areas, light colour scheme to help make the little van more spacious
- Custom built cabinets
○ Large underbed storage accessible from the rear
○ Two openings under the bed accessible from inside the van, one of which a perfect size for a toilet (included if wanted)
○ Large pull out drawer at the front
○ Large cupboard on the side for eating, meal prep etc
○ Fold out table in the back door, holes fit a jet boil stove and an aero press (included if wanted)
- Fire extinguisher for insurance compliance
- Custom upholstered mattress and "pillowcase" fitting a double sleeping bag (sleeping bag not included)
- Privacy curtain separating the cab
- Extended cab shelve for additional storage space
- Ventilation fans mounted on the cab shelve ducted to the cab
○ Yes, these are computer fans but super quiet and perfectly adequate to supply plenty air and oxygen to the rear at night time with windows slightly open in the cab (wind deflectors prevent water ingress), carbon monoxide alarm fitted for peace of mind
- Pull out bed, the bed platform pulls out on drawer slides and rests on retractable points mounted to the cupboard. This means you can pull out the platform even if you have things lying on the floor as there's no legs that pull out along with the platform. Bed has been designed to open without the need to get out of the van. Even with two people inside with a bit of a squeeze.
- Thermal window covers for night, carpeted to match the interior
- 4 ceiling-mounted spot lights
- Rear door opening strap handle to allow opening from inside
- ECOFLOW Portable Power Station RIVER 2 MAX used to power the lights, fans and charging phones and laptop. Never went below 50% in a 2-3 night getaway but a cigarette lighter charging cable included to top up while driving. I went for a portable power station instead of a fixed leisure battery setup for convenience to be able to use it out of the van too.

Price negotiable, especially if not taking the roof rack or battery.
