Description

Peugeot Boxer L2H2 in excellent condition. I started converting it into a motorhome but higher priorities have taken over. It was last serviced in June 2023 but has only run around 700 miles since then. it has 37,326 miles on the clock and the tyres each have 5mm of tread.

So far I have installed 3 x top-hinged cassette windows (900 x 500) with integral flycreens and shutters, a Maxxair MaxxFan deluxe (400 x 400) fan, a Fiamma F80s awning, a 400W roof mounted solar panel and good quality sound deadening to the floor, roof, sides and rear. I have also modified the bench seat into a single seat to allow access to the rear from the cab. The floor has 25mm of insulation with the original ply floor installed on top. The side door is also insulated. This would make an excellent day van for a motorbike enthusiast or as a project for finishing for someone looking for a motorhome.

Before installing the sound deadening I ensured every hole in the floor and ceiling and wheel arches was cleaned and riveted with Hammerite coated rivets and then painted again with Hammerite to prevent any ingress of water and corrosion.

DC electrics are installed and functional although services such as the fan have not yet been connected. The solar panel has a DC isolator and a BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller feeding a 4 way selector switch to charge either the leisure battery or the vehicle battery or both. Throughout the winter the van battery has been kept topped up and as a result the van starts on the first crank. A Renogy 40A DC-DC battery charger is connected to automatically charge the leisure battery when the engine is running. A Camway battery monitor is also installed to monitor battery performance. The leisure battery is an Adventurer SFL100 85Ah.
