Lot details

Distinctive looking vehicle
Imported into the UK in 2000
Uprated underpinnings and engine
Recent new power steering pump and starter motor
Attractive red quilted seating
Correctly registered as a Historic vehicle

With a Pontiac 400 6.6 litre V8 engine under the bonnet, TH400 Turbo auto transmission and Camaro running gear, this early 1950s GMC should perform as good as it looks, and the power steering and power brakes makes the car a lot more drivable than the original. It also boasts tilt steering, and stainless exhausts, plus the requisite white wall tyres.

The overall look is impressive, and it certainly sounds as good as it looks.

We believe it was imported in 2000 and it has been owned by the vendor since 2023. In addition to the information above, the vendor tells us that it has had a new power steering pump fitted recently, plus an oil change, oil filter, plugs, HDI distributor, silicone bushes on the rear and new air shock absorbers.

Additional pin striping has also been added to complement the Budweiser themed bed and the blood red interior – the latter of which looks great. The red theme inside the cab is continued on the dash and the carpets. Auxiliary dials are fitted plus a Pioneer head unit (untested).

Whilst there are areas of the exterior paintwork that need tidying, the overall look and stance of the pickup is great – it’s a real eye full of Americana !!

In addition to the V5, we have a number of invoices for work and parts plus a handwritten log the pickup’s features and work carried out by the present owner – a nice touch. A few spare parts come with this lot, and there are some spare keys.

Overall a great looking and great sounding vehicle that appears to have been well maintained by its present owner. So don’t miss out !!

Please note that the V5 indicates the engine capacity as 2598cc.

V5 Registration Document; Previously Registered Overseas
