I have a small lawn which had grown too long to mow & Robert quoted me £120 to strim it. I assumed it would be a fairly long job for that price. He arrived promptly and carried out the work and I have no problem with the standard of work he did. It only took him 1 hour and 20 minutes and after he finished, I checked the price again with him and he confirmed £120. I have paid it, but I wonder, as a 75 year old pensioner, have I been taken advantage of? I haven’t used a professional gardener before, so maybe a price which works out at £90 / hour is the going rate these days.
