Description

We are currently recruiting for a local manufacturing business who are looking for a Warehouse Operative/Fork Lift Driver to join their busy and friendly team. You will be responsible for supporting the production function and supply chain by the efficient and safe transportation of goods. The role requires a fork lift licence and ability to record goods in and out.

Main responsibilities:

Accurately complete all documentation for goods in/out, including labellingPick stock from racking in line with shipping lists and transport to the correct locationLoad transport vehicles in accordance with inventory requirements, ensuring drivers complete and return correct paperworkOffload incoming goods, move them to the receiving area, and store them in line with the goods inwards processTransport scrap items from containers to the scrap trailer, recording accurate weight informationCheck inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage, reporting any quality or quantity variancesConduct daily inspections and minor maintenance on forklifts and other equipment, keeping accurate inspection recordsReceive goods in, including deliveriesSafely store raw materials in racking and support stock rotationCarry out monthly cycle counts on all goods and provide reports as requiredAct as the first point of contact for warehouse–related queries and production supportCo–ordinate deliveriesUndertake regular trailer inspections and report/reject as necessaryPerform weekly racking inspections and report any issuesProvide cover and support to the production team when requiredFoster effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration across departmentsCorrectly wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times You will have:

Forklift licencePrevious experience in a manufacturing environmentBackground in factory operations, including loading/unloading goods and stock pickingStrong awareness of Health & Safety, with the ability to manage personal risk
