Description

Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

Trust: Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Alexandra Park Health Centre

Pay Rates: £27.01

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00

In this role you will be required to:

* Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders

* Develop treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs in order to improve speech, language the communication skills

* Implement techniques to enhance articulation, fluency, voice quality and language comprehension and expression

* Work with patients experiencing dysphagia to improve their ability to safely swallow food and liquids

What you’ll need:

* Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent

* Licence to Practice

* Registered with HCPC

* Dysphagia post graduate training and at least 2 years post grad experience of working with dysphagia

* The successful candidate will need to be competent and confidant in preparing and using electronic information.

* The post holder needs to have up to date IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft outlook and word.

* A knowledge and /or experience of using RIO patient held record system would be of benefit.

* Car for community work

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:
