Operator/Driver

Description

Working as an Operative/Driver you will be part of our small but growing team at Rosehill who deal with the provision of pet and equine cremations. As you business grows there will be opportunity for progression and we are keen to promote from within.

The successful candidate must be a flexible team worker who is physically fit and able to undertake manual handling of heavy items, including deceased horses. Must be able to drive a 4X4 and be competent in reversing and manoeuvring a trailer. We care for treasured family pets and a high level of compassion and empathy is required.

Core hours will be 45 between Monday to Saturday, weekend work will be required in line with the business needs.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Collection of animal cadavers, and delivery of ashes and consumables.

To unload/load vehicles and complete associated paperwork.

Operating cremating equipment and machinery.

Operation of lifting equipment (training to obtain the relevant qualification will be provided for the successful candidate).

Maintaining a tidy and efficient work, yard and stores environment.

Ensuring stores are available in the correct locations to meet operational and customer requirements, ensuring all stock movement is appropriately documented and any supply problems are reported to senior management.

Monitoring of product quality and reporting any problems

To ensure all Company documentation and records are completed accurately and according to Company procedures.

To become part of our small and friendly team you will have;

A current clean driving licence, with the ability to tow and experience of commercial vehicles.

Some IT skills.

The ability to work alone or as part of a team (some lone working is required)

The ability to carry out instructions and meet deadlines, excellent organisational skills.

Verbal and written communication skills required to be able to complete Company documentation and liaise with colleagues at all levels

Forklift licence though training will be given.
