Japanese Stock & Accounts Controller

Description

We're excited to be partnering with a leading international electronics manufacturing company based in Elstree, Borehamwood, to recruit an Accounting & Stock Controller.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in inventory control and finance to join a growing business in a role that's both varied and hands-on. You'll be responsible for managing the flow of goods imported from Japan, ensuring every detail is recorded accurately from shipment through to final warehouse location. Working closely with a 3rd-party warehouse, you'll handle stock movements, purchase orders, reconciliations, and support the finance team with key accounting processes.

What you'll be doing:

Track shipments from Japan and record as "Goods in Transit"Export and update shipment data in Excel, then re-upload to the systemRaise and manage purchase orders (POs) and ensure all documentation is accurateLiaise with 3rd-party warehouse on stock arrivals, receipts, and transfersProcess stock movements between warehouse locationsReconcile physical stock counts with system recordsCoordinate and participate in regular stock takes and cycle countsMatch supplier invoices to POs and goods receivedRecord landed costs (shipping, duties, insurance) accuratelyAssist finance with stock valuation reconciliations and discrepancy investigationsWhat we're looking for:

Fluent Japanese speaker - for liaison with overseas head officePrevious experience in inventory, stock control, and accounting supportFamiliarity with stock/ERP systemsStrong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tablesUnderstanding of inventory flow and accounting basicsHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving skillsKeen to learn and progress your accountancy careerWhat's on offer:
