Temporary Housing Officer – Leeds (3-Month Contract)

Are you an experienced Housing Officer looking for your next opportunity to make a real difference in local communities?

We’re looking for a Temporary Housing Officer to join our Housing and Community Services Team for a 3-month assignment based in Yorkshire. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering high-quality, resident-focused housing services and helping communities to thrive.

About the Role

As a Housing Officer, you’ll play a key role in providing effective tenancy and estate management. You’ll support residents to sustain their homes, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and lead sheltered scheme managers to deliver safe, well-managed, and engaged communities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver responsive tenancy and leasehold management services

* Manage rent collection and arrears, promoting financial wellbeing

* Tackle anti-social behaviour and support tenancy sustainment

* Lead and motivate sheltered scheme managers

* Promote resident involvement and engagement

* Work collaboratively with internal teams and partner organisations

* Ensure compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

* Proven experience in frontline housing management

* Strong knowledge of tenancy and leasehold legislation

* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

* Experience working with older residents or within sheltered housing

* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results

* A collaborative, resident-centred approach
