Contek Recruitment Services are collaborating with our client who arethe largest DAF Trucks Dealer Group in Europe and the largest independent commercial vehicle dealer group in the UK, is seeking a dedicated DAFAid HGV Technician. Hours and pay

Week 1 Monday to Friday 06.00am – 14.30pm

Week 2 Monday to Friday 13.00pm – 21.30pm

1 Week in 4 on 24/7 callouts

Salary: 40k – 45K OTE 70K

Key Responsibilities:

– Attend and carry out roadside repairs efficiently and safely.

– Report on the vehicle's condition both orally and in writing.

– Observe, recognise, and report on vehicle defects or symptoms of failure.

– Repair or replace parts in line with manufacturer instructions.

– Continually develop and maintain product knowledge to stay current with industry standards.

Skills, Experience, and Education:

– Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report vehicle conditions and defects accurately.

– Knowledge/Expertise: Time–served HGV Technician with a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/City & Guilds and experience working on HGVs.

– Innovation: Mechanical ability and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

– Business Impact: Ability to perform repairs and replacements in line with manufacturer instructions, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
