As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic, you ll be part of a friendly, close–knit workshop team maintaining and repairing a wide range of HGV trucks and trailers for a loyal customer base across industries. From MOT prep and diagnostics to full servicing, you ll take pride in delivering high–quality work with the support of a business that values its people and invests in modern facilities, training, and progression.

What You ll Be Doing

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers. Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete diagnostic checks. Accurately complete all job–related documentation. Work collaboratively within a professional, safety–focused environment. Coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues, and setting a fantastic example with methods of working. What We re Looking For

Proven experience as an HGV Technician including MOT and repairs. NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance or similar (or time–served equivalent). Experience mentoring and coaching junior colleagues and/or apprentices Knowledge of modern diagnostic systems and repair methods. Full UK driving licence preferred (HGV Class 1 desirable). Must have your own tools. Current Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8am 6pm Alternate Saturdays: 7am 12pm (as business requires) Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 47.5 hours Why Join Stockport Truck Centre?
