HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Fitter (Manchester 4 on 4 off)

Join a top–paying HGV workshop in Manchester earn up to GBP63K on a 4–on–4–off shift, working with a respected commercial vehicle group offering training, progression and private healthcare.

Location: Manchester

Salary: GBP53,(Apply online only) to GBP63,(Apply online only) basic per annum

Shift: 4 on 4 off 07:00 – 19:00

Job Type: Full–time, Permanent

Join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Manchester as an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter. You'll be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, with a generous basic salary and access to healthcare, training, and long–term progression within a respected commercial vehicle group.

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs and trailers

Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs

Complete structural and chassis repairs including welding when required

Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer compliance standards

Keep accurate service records and complete relevant documentation

Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Essential

Experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Fitter

Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent

Strong fault–finding and diagnostic skills

Full UK driving licence

Desirable

HGV Class 1 licence

IRTEC accreditation
