HGV Class 2 Driver

Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team based in Leigh. The job is the delivery of Pallets/Kitchens/White Goods/Shower Screens in the Central and north of England. Manual handling is required so a good level of fitness required. Routines will vary and you will work with a 2nd man when required. A willingness to do the odd night out would be beneficial.

Excellent customer service skills required as dealing face to face with customers.

Shifts are generally 12 hours Monday to Friday from 6am - 6pm

Responsibilities:

- Safely drive a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations

- Load and unload cargo ensuring its safety and security during transit

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

Qualifications:

- Hold a valid commercial driving licence (Category C)

- Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver

- Familiarity with box/curtain sided lorries and securing loads

- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record

- Strong time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
