About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night shifts assignments beginning 4th August 2025. This short–term opportunity runs for 5 nights with a total of 48 hours expected over the week. The successful candidate will be responsible for long–haul or trunking deliveries, ensuring all goods are transported safely and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle for night trunking or long–distance deliveries.
Conduct pre– and post–shift vehicle checks, reporting any defects immediately.
Adhere to all road safety, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.
Ensure all loads are secured safely and paperwork is completed accurately.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with clients and depot staff.
Report any delays, route issues, or incidents promptly to transport managers.
Requirements:
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
Valid CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience preferred.
Comfortable with night shifts and extended hours.
Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to safety.
Hours per week 48, Mon – Fri 19h00 –06h00
