Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-end restaurant refurbishment project in Central London. The role involves converting a shell-and-core unit into a fully fitted-out restaurant.

Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day site operations from start to completion, liaising with clients, architects and the wider professional team. Plan and coordinate resources and subcontractors; monitor build costs and programme to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time and within budget. Manage procurement and delivery of materials for each project phase. Conduct regular health-and-safety and quality inspections; maintain statutory and company compliance. Keep accurate site records, reports and drawings; provide progress updates to the client and company management. Required Qualifications/Experience Significant experience (5+ years) managing commercial fit-out/refurbishment projects (ideally restaurant or hospitality projects). Relevant academic background such as an HNC/HND or degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Level-6 NVQ in Site Management (or equivalent) and a Black CSCS card; SMSTS certification and up-to-date CITB Managers & Professionals (MAP) Health, Safety & Environment test. Proven ability to manage subcontractors, budgets and programmes; strong knowledge of current building regulations and health-and-safety legislation. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills; proficiency with project-management software. First-aid qualification and right to work in the UK. Alternative qualifications may be accepted depending on experience – for example, candidates with a skilled trades background (particularly in joinery or carpentry) and strong site management experience will be considered. Start Date The successful candidate should be available to start within a month.
