An excellent opportunity for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a well-established company!

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: Hourly wage dependent on experience, minimum £13.00 per hour

Location: Bolton, BL4

Bench joiner / Sander / Carver

As a rapidly expanding small family run company, we require a multi-skilled worker to work efficiently on the shop floor. Our factory is purpose built for the manufacture of bespoke timber handrails for luxury homes and commercial environments – every one of our projects is tailor made to the customer’s requirements and it is critical that standards are never compromised.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of activities:

Hand finishing – Using hand tools and machnery to sand each piece through various grades to achieve a high quality finish. Hand carving – as part of finishing handrails, using chisels and specialist tools to carve pre-machined handrails Other Duties – General workshop duties where required - using saws to cut wood to size, cleaning, light metalwork, etc Potential to work part time on site in future

Skills

Candidates should have some experience in the woodworking industry. Proven troubleshooting ability Knowledge of tooling and/or CNCs preferable Ability to work on your own initiative Attention to detail and an eye for quality standards Excellent time management

Education

GSCE level in Maths Science & English Vocational courses / apprenticeships in relevant field preferable

Contractual

40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 07.30 – 16.45 with breaks and lunch, and a 14.00 finish on Fridays Part time positions also available – flexible hours. Hourly wage dependent on experience, minimum £13.00 per hour Overtime opportunities likely
