Great fun, yet reliable car, it has always been the second car, I would swap my reg plate on each summer. this time the v5 has come back non-transferable reg mark, massively annoying thank you DVSA.

This 1999 Toyota MR2 MK3 Roadster in veilside blue with red ghost center stripe, and black interior. I bought this as a pandemic project, the local technical collage were willing to sell it to me with it's bad engine, which was good because I just happened to have a rebuilt 1zz engine in my garage looking for a home.
Apart from the paint and lights it is pretty much a standard car, the trd belts are E4 airbag rated, the 18 inch wheels keep the speedo spot on 30mph on the clocks is dead on 30.

It is a 2-seater manual 5 speed, the 1zz 1794 is pokey and flawless you know you are getting the full 185 kW horse power.

With Toyota presently revising / reviving both Celica and MR2 models all previous models will suddenly come into a desirable state even Toyota's MX5 challenger.

6 of the 10 previous owners are me swapping private plates on and off the car, its back on its original non transferable plate now.

Yesterday put on a fresh 12th month of MOT valid until 08/09/2026, after I replaced both front shocks, both rear brake calipers and fresh pads all round, all the brake components were cleaned and flushed and refilled the brake fluid.

This car was made in Japan and I always found it strange how as a right-hand drive, the indicators are on the left stalk.

It comes with a V5C registration document under Y419LHL

The convertible top is the original vinyl which is waterproof also showing its age in a couple of places. i had earmarked a tan mohair one from ebay US...then trump happened
