Stapleford, Nottinghamshire
£35
Description
VINTAGE FRENCH CREAM & GREEN ENAMEL COFFEE JUG, COFFEE POT, COFFEE MAKER, CAFETIÈRE, 4 PIECE COMPLETE, 26cm tall - 1950s FRENCH KITCHENALIA
WILL POST - I can post this for £6 if paid for by bank transfer (Note - we only accept payment in cash on collection or by bank transfer if delivery agreed - no PayPal, card, or courier payment).
Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!
Part of our French kitchenalia collection, we got this sturdy 1950s enamel filter or drip coffee pot, jug, maker, cafetière at a vide maison at Montbard in the Burgundy region.
Still watertight and sound in an attractive thick cream and green trim enamel, with all pieces present, it makes a great piece of decorative french kitchenalia and would still work to make coffee (although we have never done so).
In good vintage condition with wear, chips, staining and rust consistent with its age and use - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
The enamel surfaces are bright and sound.
There are several areas of chipping but this is still watertight - see photos.
The inside is a little stained, presumably from coffee.
The lid fits well and sits on a coffee reservoir.
The coffee reservoir sits on the pot and has a fixed metal filter which is both stained and has surface rust but is strong and intact - see photos.
There is a coffee reservoir insert which fits to the upper inside.
The pot is watertight.
The handle is strong.
The spout is similar.
The base is worn but sound.
I can find no maker’s mark.
Measures approximately:
26 cm tall, 12.5 cm diameter, 23 cm long handle to spout,
Weighs about 800 g.
